How do you keep things exciting and fun with eating a balanced, nutritious meal plan? When I talk with new clients about their previous attempt at weight loss or developing a healthy meal plan, it’s commonly related to food boredom:

“I got tired of always eating chicken.”

“I can’t eat salads FOREVER.”

“I don’t know what happened. I just got stuck in a rut making the same things and reverted back to what I was having before.”

“I didn’t enjoy what I was eating. I was just eating it because I thought it was healthy.”

There’s no reason you always have to eat salads or only have chicken to improve your health. There is no need to only eat something because it’s been labeled as “healthy”. You deserve the enjoyment, the pleasure of tasty food! Food is fun! Food is fun to talk about. I love food and that is a huge reason why I love what I do so much, I get to talk and think about food all day.

We do a few different things to keep food fun in our home.

6 Ways to Beat Food Boredom:

  1. Checkout new ethnic markets in neighboring towns.
  2. Always on the lookout for fresh fruit/veg we haven’t had before.
  3. Meal Plan and prep with new recipes or challenging ourselves to creating our own.
  4. Choose fresh food that is in-season, so they are super tasty and nutritious. Click here for our curated list of what is in-season each month!
  5. Make our plate colorful so it is appealing to the eyes and tummy. We eat with our eyes first, right?!?! Or is it our nose???
  6. Use different preparation methods to change up the texture and taste of our favorite veggies.

Be in touch with your enjoyment of food, A lasting, healthy lifestyle depends upon it! If you are getting stuck in a rut, identify it and change it up.
